Collection: Maangalyam

The palanquin or the bridal carriage was a yesteryear tradition and a grandeur affair, practiced by various cultures to welcome the bride to her new groom’s residence following their wedding rituals. Yet another age-old tradition was the groom’s procession, wherein the groom would travel a week’s time for his bride to be home. While these traditions may have been modified over time for celebratory purposes, they are an integral part of the Indian textile art. Sneham celebrates these traditions with the meticulously crafted Maangalyam collection.
